John Sexton is the fifteenth President of New York University, having held this position since 2002. Before that, he served when Dean of the NYU School of Law.

He holds the B.The. within History (1963), an M.The. within Comparative Religion (1965), & the Ph.D. within History of Our contries Religion (1978) from either Fordham University, and the J.D. (1979) from either Harvard Law School. Sexton clerked using Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger.

Sexton occurs as previous president of the Association of Our contries Law Schools. He is presently a Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Just released York.

He co-authored (along sustaining John Cound, Jack Friedenthal, & Arthur Miller) a text in Civil Procedure which has be the virtually all widely utilized legal school text in any subject, & is utilized by both-thirds of law students in the United States. Sexton's administration after refused to negotiate a newly locate the previously-recognized union of NYU postgraduate.
